University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Teaching and Learning Strategies in Applied Specializations
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a training lecture as part of the fourth teaching methods course for the first unit. The lecture addressed teaching and learning methods in applied specializations.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Rafid Abdul-Jabbar Muhammad, a lecturer in the College of Medicine, included a review of the concepts of teaching and learning, the difference between teaching and training, and the elements of the educational process.
It also focused on effective teaching strategies, such as direct instruction, brainstorming, discussion, and modern technologies, as well as basic teaching skills that contribute to improving the student's academic experience and enhancing the competencies of university professors to ensure the achievement of distinguished educational outcomes.
