University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on the Use of the Ratio of Beauty in Smile Reconstruction
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basra organized a workshop on the use of the golden ratio of beauty in smile reconstruction.
The workshop aims to introduce how the golden ratio fits into the world of cosmetic dentistry. The engineering aspect can be organized and applied in smile reconstruction, while these technical standards vary from one individual to another depending on age and gender.
The workshop included a lecture by Dr. Hassanein Ali Mohsen, who explained the application of the golden ratio in dentistry to the apparent width of the front teeth from the middle to the other side as viewed from the front. He emphasized the importance of the golden ratio in dentistry, as it cannot be considered the final measurable dimension and cannot be used alone in smile design. Rather, the subject relies on other scientific principles.
