A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Bacterial Resistance to Antibiotics
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, examined a master's thesis entitled "Synthesis and Evaluation of the Biological Activity of Calix[4]pyrrole Derivatives." Was
The thesis, presented by student Samer Salem Muaidi, aimed to study the problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics.
The thesis included the development of new derivatives of Calix[4]pyrrole to combat bacteria resistant to conventional antibiotics, and testing their other biological properties, such as antioxidant activity and toxicity.
This study also contributes to providing new solutions to the problem of bacterial drug resistance by developing compounds that may be effective in treating bacterial infections that do not respond to conventional antibiotics, which will aid in the development of future treatments.
