University of Basrah Opens University Marketing Center
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah opened the University Marketing Center at the Karmat Ali site. Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, the center features a display of the College of Agriculture's products, including red and white meat, dairy, fodder, and other items included in the Basra family's food basket. The center is supervised by professors specializing in animal production.
The center aims to promote and display University of Basrah products under the direct supervision of the Agricultural Advisory Center affiliated with the College of Agriculture. It also provides marketing spaces inside and outside the university's premises, allowing consumers, including professors, affiliates, and students, to shop easily, ensuring the quality of the product and the community's confidence in the university's products at competitive prices.
The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Sarmed Ghazi Al-Shawi, explained that the university's role is to enhance the economic aspect by introducing the college's products to the local market. This is the fourth center, and there are plans to expand the marketing centers to include different areas within Basra Governorate to provide everyone with easy shopping.
