University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Nanostructure Synthesis and Surface Modification
The Polymer Research Center at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on nanostructure synthesis and surface modification.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Shaima Abdul-Karim Al-Naimi, addressed the synthesis and preparation methods of nanomaterials, their most important characteristics, and their advantages over conventional materials. These characteristics, such as strength, electrical conductivity, chemical reactivity, and color, can be altered depending on the manufacturing method.
The seminar highlighted the importance of modifying nanoscale surfaces by altering the surface properties of a material to enhance its performance to meet specific needs. This modification process is crucial in some industrial and technical applications, such as sensors, batteries, and medical materials.
