A scientific study at University of Basra investigates the integration of brain-computer interfaces
Dr. Amjad Zaki Khalil and Dr. Asaad Ghaleb Al-Asadi, faculty of engineering at the University of Basra, investigated the integration of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) with building information modeling (BIM) within residential architecture.
The study, published in the Q1 Scopus Global Sustainability Journal, demonstrated the feasibility of neuro-responsive architecture, where cognitive input from brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) enables real-time adjustments to architectural designs. This technology enhances the flexibility and user-centered quality of the built environment by incorporating residents' preferences and states of mind into the design process.
