University of Basra organizes a workshop on live testimonies to expose Baath crimes
The Faculty of Management and Economics at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Basra Martyrs Directorate, organized a workshop entitled (Living Testimonies to Expose Baath Crimes), as part of supporting the Baath crimes curriculum taught in Iraqi universities.
The workshop, which was lectured by Jabbar Amin Jaber, director of the Department of Relations and Missions, a political prisoner during the rule of the former Baath gang and the brother of a martyr executed by the former Baath regime.
The workshop emphasized the topics of fighting the criminal and totalitarian Baathist ideology and preventing the return of any dictatorship to rule Iraq again, and the representative of the Martyrs Foundation, Mr. Mohammed Qasim Abboud, head of the media division of the Basra Martyrs Directorate, spoke about the need to educate generations with a national culture that rejects violence, dictatorship and confiscation of freedoms, methods that were practiced by the former Baath Party.
