The University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Poetry Attributed to Imam Hasan (Peace Be Upon Him)
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Basrah Heritage Center, organized a workshop on "Poetry Attributed to Imam Hasan (Peace Be Upon Him): Generosity, Pride, and Lineage in Light of Basran Islamic Heritage – Al-Mada'ini (d. 225 AH) as a Model."
The workshop aims to introduce the manuscripts of poetry attributed to Imam Hasan (Peace Be Upon Him): Generosity, Pride, and Lineage in Light of Basran Islamic Heritage – Al-Mada'ini (d. 225 AH) and the role of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine in preserving the thought and literature of the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace Be Upon Them).
The workshop included a lecture delivered by Dr. Tawfiq Al-Hajjaj, who explained the historical events that took place during the time of Imam Hasan (Peace Be Upon Him), addressing the role of the historian Al-Mada'ini in confronting historical distortion, supporting his talk with examples from the poetry of Imam Hasan (Peace Be Upon Him) that included advice and wisdom, and messages of construction, work, and goodness derived from the message of the Chosen Prophet (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him and His Family) and the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him).
