A University of Basrah Researcher Develops an Integrated Model to Monitor Surface Temperature Along the Banks of the Shatt al-Arab River
Dr. Furqan Khalid Kashish, a lecturer at the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basrah, has developed an integrated model to monitor and simulate surface temperature along the banks of the Shatt al-Arab River in Basra Governorate.
This model relies on integrating advanced mathematical modeling with geomatics technologies, including geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and virtual reality technologies. This provides an accurate and realistic visualization of temperature changes in the region.
This achievement is an important step in the development of environmental studies in Iraq, contributing to supporting environmental sustainability efforts and natural resource management using the latest advanced technologies.
