University of Basra commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Ali (PBUH) with a play and cultural events
The University of Basra's Qurna College of Education held a cultural event to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). The event included a theater performance entitled "The Greatest Sufferer", which portrayed the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and his oppression.
The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of poetic verses expressing the painful tragedy, in the presence of a group of professors and students who recalled the biography of the Imam and his immortal exploits
