University of Basra organizes a voluntary campaign under the slogan "Plant a Tree, Plant Hope"

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, and with the participation of a number of students and faculty members, the College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basra organized a voluntary campaign to plant a tree on campus under the slogan "Plant a tree and plant hope".

This initiative comes within the framework of the college's commitment to its responsibility towards society and the environment, and aims to improve the green spaces within the campus, in addition to enhancing environmental awareness and consolidating the values of environmental responsibility among members of the university community.

The campaign included the distribution of awareness posters and guiding phrases highlighting the best practices in the planting process, in addition to encouraging participants to actively contribute to environmental initiatives, thus enhancing the culture of afforestation and environmental sustainability.
