University of Basra organizes a seminar on the art of discourse in the plays of T.C. Eliot
The Center for Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education, organized a seminar on the guidelines of religious discourse in T.S. Eliot's theatrical texts.
The seminar, in which teacher Hashim Hamid Hamoudi analyzed one of the poetic plays of the English writer (T.S. Eliot), which talks about the assassination of Bishop Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral in 1170, in which he relied heavily on the novel (Edgar Grimm) who was an eyewitness to the crime, as the play was considered part of the intellectual opposition to the authority during the era of fascist control of Europe.
