The thesis, submitted by student Abdul Aziz Qadouri Abdul Sadah, aims to investigate the relationship between aspirin and diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes in Basra governorate.
The thesis included four chapters, during which the student discussed diabetes as a metabolic disorder characterized by high blood sugar levels due to a defect in insulin production, insulin action, or both. Diabetes leads to various chronic complications at the level of large and small vessels, among these complications is diabetic nephropathy, which is one of the main micro and macro complications and is independently associated with an increased risk of end-stage renal failure.
