University of Basra organizes a seminar on pediatric diabetes

 

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Basra Health Department, organized a symposium on pediatric diabetes.

 

The symposium aims to discuss the medical care that should be provided to children with diabetes because of its importance in treating this disease and reducing the resulting complications, in addition to increasing the awareness of pediatricians of the latest scientific developments in pediatric diabetes.

 

The symposium included the presentation of several research papers during which researchers demonstrated the technique of continuous monitoring of blood sugar level, methods of administering insulin in children with type 1 diabetes, dietary therapy in children with type 1 diabetes, as well as how to treat children with diabetes when they develop the disease.
