University of Basra Master's thesis examines the evaluation of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D in patients with chronic kidney disease
A master's thesis at the University of Basra's Faculty of Medicine investigated the evaluation of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
The thesis, submitted by student Rafal Haider Hussain, aims to assess the difference in 1,25(OH)2 D, 25(OH)2 D, iPTH and 1,25(OH)2 D/iPTH levels across different stages of CKD and explore the relationships between the biomarkers with a focus on the association of 1,25(OH)2 D level with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).
The dissertation included four chapters in which the researcher discussed the correlation of 25(OH)2 D with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), the correlation of iPTH with eGFR and the correlation of 1,25(OH)2 D with Ipth.
