University of Basrah Organizes a Course on the Role of Microbiology in Sustainable Development
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized a course on the role of microbiology in sustainable development.
The course, presented by Dr. Asaad Muhammad Redha and Dr. Anwar Abdul Wahab Makki, aimed to highlight the importance of using microorganisms to improve basic environmental functions such as waste management, biological treatment, enhancing agricultural productivity, and mitigating the effects of climate change. It also aimed to leverage these microorganisms to promote environmentally friendly practices and improve environmental health.
The course addressed the adoption of microbial solutions as a viable alternative to traditional chemical solutions.
