University of Basra performs surgery on a sheep suffering from a broken metatarsal
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra, in collaboration with the Veterinary Hospital, performed a surgery on a sheep suffering from a metatarsal fracture.
The veterinary surgical team performed the operation on a sheep that showed clinical signs of a compound fracture, a condition that is rarely subjected to surgery.
The operation was successfully performed by stabilizing the broken bones of the metatarsal after conducting all tests, and the sheep was given the appropriate treatments and followed up after the operation to ensure full recovery.
