University of Basra Organizes a Media Campaign to Reduce the Dangers of Drugs
The Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Basra organized a media awareness campaign to reduce the phenomenon of drugs, as part of the ministerial directives to combat negative phenomena in society. The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Jibran Khalil, confirmed that the campaign included distributing posters and brochures on the dangers of drugs to students, as well as posting posters and posters in the corridors of the college, in order to show the danger of this phenomenon to society and to combat it in all ways and means.
Dr. Joubran continued: We support the government's directives with these important steps to educate the youth and all members of society, especially the student segment, about all the dangers caused by these phenomena that are alien to our conservative Islamic societies, and we will spare no effort for the sake of health and media awareness programs and plans regarding these great dangers to the lives and future of our youth.
It is worth mentioning that the campaign included phrases and sentences that carry a psychological, awareness and health character, revealing the seriousness of this phenomenon and ways to combat it, and guiding the community and youth on how to curb this phenomenon, in addition to the hotline number to report any drug crime.
