A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Glutathione Effect on Jujube Seedlings
A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah examined the effect of glutathione treatment on reducing heavy metal stress and its impact on some biochemical and molecular traits of jujube seedlings of the Tuffahi variety.
Researcher Zainab Majid's thesis aimed to investigate the role of glutathione in mitigating the effects of pollution and improving physiological and molecular traits.
The results showed that pollution negatively affected the growth of jujube seedlings, while glutathione improved the studied traits. The study recommended using jujube as a bioremediation and spraying antioxidants, especially glutathione, to combat pollution.
