University of Basra organizes a workshop on the concept of sustainable development
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra organized an educational workshop on the concept and goals of sustainable development.
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of sustainable development, its themes and its 17 goals approved by the United Nations and required to be achieved by the year 2030.
The workshop, which was attended by teachers within the College's Sustainable Development Committee, included a discussion of the requirements to be accomplished, including the environmental and social dimension, the need to use clean and alternative energy and stay away from pollutants, as well as spreading the green cover and increasing the culture of affiliates and students by spreading environmental awareness and community culture, equality between men and women, and finding solutions to get rid of the poverty line.
