University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Workshop on Pollution and Phytoremediation
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah organized a scientific workshop titled "Pollution and Phytoremediation," as part of a series of scientific activities held periodically by the museum.
The workshop aimed to raise environmental awareness among university members and visitors and to highlight the importance of using natural methods to treat pollutants, given their effectiveness and environmental sustainability.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Shatha Muhammad Hamza, included a scientific presentation on the most prominent forms of environmental pollution and their impact on biological systems. It also highlighted the biological techniques used phytoremediation of polluted soil and water.
