University of Basrah Continues Its Field Work
The Diwan Affairs Department at the University of Basrah continued its service work at the Karmat Ali site, as part of its ongoing efforts to support infrastructure and provide essential services.
Technical teams, in coordination with the Low-Voltage Cable Testing Division, were able to locate the fault in the main cable supplying street lighting from the College of Veterinary Medicine. Necessary maintenance work was carried out by installing a thermal joint to ensure stable power supply.
Engineer Mahmoud Jaafar Jassim, Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, stated that technical staff also restored the electrical line supplying the water pumps in the central island near the College of Agriculture, which had been out of service. This was done in preparation for the summer season and to ensure sustainable irrigation of the site's green spaces.
Mahmoud added: These efforts are part of the comprehensive plan adopted by the division to maintain the efficiency of service systems and ensure business continuity at various vital university sites.
