University of Basrah Completes Maintenance of the Cable Feeding Student Affairs at Bab al-Zubair
The Maintenance and Services Division at the Bab al-Zubair site completed maintenance of the electrical cable extending from the geography station to the Student Affairs building near the College of Education for Girls. This is part of its ongoing efforts to ensure stable services at vital locations within the university.
Engineer Mahmoud Jaafar, Director of the Diwan Affairs, stated that technical staff were able to locate the cable break and address it by performing a thermal connection (thermal joint) in accordance with approved technical standards. This contributed to the restoration of electrical service in record time.
Mahmoud added that this achievement comes within the framework of the division's proactive maintenance plans to address emergency breakdowns and maintain the continuity of electrical power, particularly in locations directly related to student services.
