A PhD Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the spatial analysis of the Population's Life Quality
A PhD thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah examined the spatial analysis of the quality of life of the population in Dhi-Qar Governorate.
The thesis, presented by student Alaa Shuraiji Hanido, aimed to demonstrate the spatial variation in indicators of the quality of life of the population, with their various variables, across the administrative units of the study area and the extent of the correlation between them. This was based on a scientific methodology that classified the indicators according to the three-tier classification of deprived, self-sufficient, and better-off households.
The thesis included an explanation of the spatial variation in the quality of life of the population by determining the level of geographical variation. The study also examined the level of deprivation in administrative units based on a set of (6) fields, including the indicators included in each field. It determined the levels of deprivation and the extent of household satisfaction with the quality of life experienced by individuals.
