University of Basra receives Chinese delegation
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basra received a Chinese delegation that included a number of researchers and academics, as part of the scientific and cultural cooperation between Iraq and the People's Republic of China.
The visit aimed to strengthen ties of academic cooperation and cultural exchange, familiarize themselves with the most important scientific holdings of the museum, as well as exchange experiences in the fields of environmental diversity and preservation of natural heritage.
The delegation toured the museum and viewed the various environmental halls, skeletons, mummified plant and animal specimens, and listened to a detailed explanation of mummification methods and museum display techniques. The delegation members praised the level of organization and scientific content displayed.
