University of Basrah Qualifies for Semi-Finals in Futsal Championship
The University of Basrah student team qualified for the semi-finals after defeating its counterpart, the University of Karbala, 1-0, in the finals of the Futsal Championship, held under the auspices of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority at the University of Mosul and the Northern Technical University, from April 9-17.
The head of the delegation, Dr. Atheer Abbas Mustafa, stated that today's match against the University of Karbala was crucial and difficult. Thanks to the efforts of the coaching and technical staff, the combined capabilities, and the spirit of one team, we were able to qualify for the semi-finals to face the University of Diyala.
Atheer concluded, "We will make our next victory and the championship trophy a crown we present to our beloved university on the occasion of its sixty-first anniversary."
