University of Basrah Qualifies for Final Fustal Championship to Meet Al-Mustansiriya University
The University of Basrah student team qualified for the final match of the fustal championship, held under the auspices of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority at the University of Mosul and the Northern Technical University, after defeating its match, the University of Diyala, 2-1. The team will now face Al-Mustansiriya University in the final match.
Dr. Ghassan Al-Bajari, Director of the Student Activities Department, said, "Today's match against the opposing team in the semi-finals was decisive, as it determined who would play in the championship final. Thank God, we were able, through everyone's efforts, to reach the final positions."
Al-Bajari added, "I extend my thanks to the coaching and technical staff and the champion team members for their efforts and outstanding performance to raise the name of our university high. We dedicate this victory to all our fans and members at the University of Basrah, and to the primary supporter of our sports teams' successes, the University President, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi. We ask God to grant us success in our next match so that we can return with the championship cup."
