University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Microbial Food Poisoning
The College of Al-Zahraa Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on microbial food poisoning.
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of microbial food poisoning and highlight the most dangerous types of microbes responsible for foodborne illnesses, in addition to presenting preventive and therapeutic solutions based on scientific evidence.
Several research papers were presented during the workshop, in which researchers discussed the mechanisms of microbial spread in food, with a focus on the environmental conditions that promote their growth. They also addressed methods of preventing food poisoning, starting from personal hygiene to food safety standards in both home and industrial kitchens.
