University of Basra wins third place in the University Theater Festival
Out of 45 participating public and private universities, the University of Basra won the third place in the University Theater Festival held under the auspices of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Agency at the University of the Book in Kirkuk Governorate for the period (13-17) of April.
The head of the delegation, Dr. Ghassan Al-Bajari, said, "Our theatrical presentations were purposeful and brilliant, in which we won individual awards as well, as in our presentation of the play
The Dance of Death by (August Strindberg) and the Best Actress Award for the student Fatima Al-Zahraa Maytham Taleb for her outstanding performance."
Al-Bajari added - It is worth mentioning the paternal care, attention and follow-up given to us by the patron of art at the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and my thanks to the Faculty of Fine Arts, artistic supervisors and our students for their efforts that brought us to the advanced positions that our beloved university deserves.
