A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Word Interpretation Mechanisms

A master's thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah examined the mechanisms of word interpretation in the book "The Meanings of the Qur'an" by Muhammad ibn al-Mustanir Qatrab (d. 206 AH).

The thesis, presented by student Ghufran Ibrahim Hashim Muhammad al-Mansouri, aimed to shed light on the most important mechanisms or methods Qatrab used to interpret Qur'anic linguistic terms. This was done by collecting, investigating, and processing them from his book "The Meanings of the Qur'an and the Interpretation of the Problematic Grammar of the Qur'an."

The thesis included Qatrab's phonetic interpretation of words and its etymological interpretation.
