University of Basrah and the Pharmacists Syndicate Hold the Second Basra International Pharmacists Conference
University of Basrah and the Basra Pharmacists Syndicate, in cooperation with the Basra Health Department and the University of Lincoln Malaysia, held the Second Basra International Pharmacists Conference.
The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Jibran Khalil Hassan, noted the broad participation of Iraqi and Arab researchers, as well as participants from the Lincoln University College in Malaysia. More than 100 scientific papers were presented, 60 of which were approved for presentation in the conference sessions held in three concurrent halls, in addition to specialized workshops.
The conference addressed several topics, including: innovation in pharmacy and healthcare systems, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, drug design, discovery, and development, pharmacology and toxicology, pharmaceuticals and herbal medicines, modern trends in pharmaceutical sciences, and antibiotic resistance.
The conference aims to enhance scientific cooperation, exchange expertise, update participants' knowledge and skills, and contribute to improving the quality of healthcare.
