University of Basrah Organizes Awareness Seminar on State-Led Weapons
The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the provincial police command, organized a seminar titled "State-Led Weapons and the Dangers of Their Proliferation."
The seminar aimed to instill a culture of weapon registration through the Ur Portal website and raise community awareness about the dangers of proliferation of weapons, which threaten the country's security, political, economic, and social stability.
The seminar, presented by Administrative Assistant Dr. Oras Jabbar Saheem and Dr. Saeed Mustafa Hadi, included an explanation of the role of security agencies in preventing the proliferation of unlicensed weapons and how relevant agencies deal with and issue licenses for possession of weapons with official and proper approvals from the Ministry of Interior. The seminar emphasized that the issue of state-led weaponry is a vital issue that contributes to enhancing security and stability in communities, strengthening national security, and reducing violence and crime.
