University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Gender
The College of Nursing at the University of Basra organized a workshop on the concept of gender and women's rights in Arab societies.
The workshop aimed to introduce the historical origins of the concept of gender, its stages of development, and its current emergence, which calls for the distortion of human identity.
The workshop included the presentation of several research papers in which researchers discussed the concept of gender and its causes from physical, psychological, and religious perspectives, in addition to the basic elements that have contributed to the spread of this phenomenon in Arab and Islamic societies in particular.
