University of Basrah Holds Scientific Workshop on Fish Propagation
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basra held a scientific workshop titled "Fish Propagation," attended by a number of museum staff members interested in and specialized in environmental and marine affairs.
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of artificial fish propagation and its role in supporting fish stocks and maintaining ecological balance, as well as promoting scientific culture in this vital field.
The workshop, delivered by researcher Ali Mazhar Rahma, addressed modern propagation methods and the challenges facing this sector in Iraq. It also discussed ways to develop sustainable fish farming projects in cooperation between academic institutions and relevant stakeholders.
