University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Visit to the Tamam Dairy Factory
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a scientific visit to the Tamam Dairy Factory in Abu Al-Khaseeb District for first-year students. The visit was part of the "Principles of Industries" course, and was accompanied by a number of professors.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with the lab's work mechanisms and link theory with practical application in preparation for future field work.
The tour included viewing the lab's local dairy products, such as shenina, cream, dried yogurt, cheese, and yogurt. It also included observing the manufacturing stages, starting with milk pasteurization and cooling, through the addition of starters and storage, and ending with the bottling and packaging processes.
