University of Basra completes preparations for its 61st anniversary celebration
The Department of Court Affairs at the University of Basra has completed the cleaning and rehabilitation of the Imam Ali (peace be upon him) Hall in the Faculty of Law, in preparation for the central ceremony that will be held on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the founding of the university.
The Director of the Department of Diwan Affairs, Engineer Mahmoud Jaafar, said: "The preparations included integrated maintenance work, where maintenance staff rehabilitated and operated the main chandelier in the hall, in addition to cleaning the floors and washing the sidewalks surrounding the building, to ensure that the guests are received in a suitable atmosphere for this prominent scientific occasion.
Mahmoud added : This ceremony comes as a culmination of the university's scientific and academic career over more than six decades, as it is scheduled to witness cultural and artistic events worthy of this dear anniversary.
