University of Basra faculty participates in the third medical conference at Al-Kanooz University
Dr. Iman Abdullah Abdulali, an instructor at the Marine Science Center, participated in the third international scientific conference for medical sciences held at Al-Kanooz University College.
The participation included the presentation of a research entitled: "Design of a biomechanical treatment unit for the treatment of oily sludge in the South Refineries Company."
The research aimed to isolate and genetically characterize the bacteria that break down the oil residues of the South Refineries Company and study their ability to produce biologically active surfactants that increase the speed of breaking down the oil residues.
