For sustainable development in protecting the aquatic environment. University of Basra continues to monitor mangrove planting sites in Khor Al-Zubair
A scientific team at the University of Basra's Marine Science Center organized a field research trip to the mangrove planting site in Khor Al-Zubair.
The trip aimed to continue monitoring the growth of Mangrove trees that the center supervises in the region in order to support the plans implemented to sustain and develop Iraqi coasts, protect them from erosion and salt tides, reduce marine pollution, and provide a safe environment for the growth and reproduction of fish.
The trip included collecting samples and installing field tests to complete them in the laboratory, recording environmental observations of the growth of these trees and comparing the environmental and biological reality before and after planting them.
