University of Basra organizes a scientific trip for its students to Sidra Arboretum
The Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific trip to Al-Sidra Arboretum in Al-Sibah district, south of Basra Governorate, for students of the second and fourth stages, as part of the Herbology and Agricultural Extension courses, accompanied by a number of teachers.
The visit aimed to familiarize the students with the concepts of smart agriculture, modern nutrition and irrigation systems, in addition to learning about farming techniques in refrigerated houses. The students were also introduced to new plant species and methods of propagation and care, which enhanced the practical and applied aspect of the curricula and raised the level of agricultural awareness among students.
