A Scientific Study at the University of Basrah Investigates the Effectiveness of Nanocell Mupirocin in an Insulin-Based Gel for Treating Acute Skin Wounds
A scientific study conducted at the University of Basrah by Dr. Maysaa Banai from the College of Pharmacy explored the effectiveness of nanocell mupirocin in an insulin-based gel for the treatment of acute skin wounds.
The study, published in the Gomal Journal of Medical Sciences in Pakistan (with an impact factor of 0.5 and indexed in Scopus), examined modern methods of wound healing. It highlighted that healing of skin wounds is a medical challenge requiring immediate intervention. With advancements in therapeutic technologies, the use of pharmaceutical nanotechnology has proven to be highly effective.
