University of Basra wins fourth place in the beach volleyball championship
Out of (48) participating public and private universities, the University of Basra won the fourth place with a difference of one match and a number of innings in the Iraqi Universities Beach Volleyball Championship held under the auspices of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Agency in the spirit of Anbar and Maarif Universities in Anbar Governorate.
The head of the teaching delegation, Hussein Juma binu Hashim, said that "sports competitions for this game have returned again among universities after a long hiatus for many years, and our achievement of the fourth ranking means a lot to us in the future, and the determination of the players and the keenness of the coach and playing with the spirit of one team had the greatest credit in obtaining one of the best important positions in the tournament."
Hussein added, "We thank and praise the keen care given by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Al-Asadi, to his students in the sports fields and the serious follow-up by the Director of the Sports Activities Department, Dr. Ghassan Al-Bajari.
