A delegation from the Psychological Counseling Center at the Faculty of Arts visits the Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basra received a delegation from the Psychological Counseling Center at the Faculty of Arts, as part of a cooperative program aimed at enhancing psychological and educational aspects through communication with scientific and cultural institutions at the university.
The delegation toured the museum and viewed the various exhibits that document the environmental diversity in Iraq, including mummified organisms, plant models and illustrations, and listened to a detailed explanation from the museum staff about the importance of these exhibits in supporting the cognitive aspect and developing the sensory and visual perception of visitors.
The visiting delegation praised the efforts exerted in organizing the museum and its keenness to provide an integrated educational environment, stressing the importance of future cooperation between the center and the museum to hold joint events that contribute to achieving the objectives of psychological counseling through live and realistic educational means.
