For sustainable development in the development of means of production and preservation of environmental resources. University of Basra faculty members publish research in a UK journal
Dr. Ahmed Yousef Hammoud and Dr. Mohannad Kazim Taher from the University of Basra's Marine Science Center published a scientific research in collaboration with other researchers entitled "Using magnetic nanomaterials to remove Congo red dye from aqueous solutions" in the journal (Advences in Natural Sciences) published by the British publishing house (IOP).
The research aimed to address pollution cases in support of sustainable development plans in the development of production methods using environmentally friendly green chemistry innovations.
The research, published in (Scopus and Clarvet Q2) with an impact factor (1.7), dealt with the preparation of a magnetic nanocomposite with the formula (Co0.5Cr0.5Fe2O4) and the sol-gel method of spontaneous combustion with the use of lemon juice as a fuel for the reaction, so that this method is less expensive compared to other methods.
