University of Basra receives a group of German tourists
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basra received a group of tourists from Germany, as part of the cultural visits program aimed at introducing Iraq's biodiversity and natural heritage.
The visit aims to highlight the museum's scientific and educational contents, introduce the various natural environments and mummified animal models, in addition to highlighting the university's efforts in preserving biodiversity and documenting the natural history of the region.
The tourists toured the environmental halls, skeletons and mummified creatures, and listened to a detailed scientific explanation about taxidermy methods and mechanisms for documenting environmental models, expressing their admiration for the scientific level of the museum and its rare holdings.
