The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the impact of climate change on the environment, fisheries, and aquaculture of marine fish.
The workshop aimed to find solutions and approaches to support sustainable development plans in mitigating the increasing phenomenon of global warming.
It addressed the effects of marine heatwaves, predicted impacts of climate change on fishery resources and biodiversity, the current state of marine aquaculture, and the broader aquatic ecosystem, along with future outlooks.
