University of Basra organizes a scientific seminar on the economic repercussions of US President Trump's customs policy
The Faculty of Management and Economics Qurna at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar entitled The Economic Repercussions of US President Trump's Customs Policy at the international, regional and local levels.
The seminar aimed to analyze the economic effects of the protectionist policies pursued by the administration of US President Donald Trump, and their implications for the global, regional, and Iraqi economy specifically, in light of the current economic challenges.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Sami Obaid Mohammed, Dean of the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas, Dr. Adnan Farhan Al-Jourani, Dr. Adnan Hadi Jaaz and Dr. Zahid Qasim Badan, included four main themes, including: The basic concepts of customs policies, analyzing the repercussions on global trade, the impact of these policies on the economies of developing countries, and finally foreseeing the potential effects on the Iraqi economy.
