University of Basra organizes a scientific and religious seminar on the scourge of drugs
In coordination with the Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Cultural Center of the Holy Husseiniya Shrine and the Shiite Endowment Bureau, the University of Basra organized a religious educational seminar entitled "The scourge of drugs and its health and societal impact on the life of the university student." The seminar aimed to educate students about the dangers of drugs from a religious, health and societal perspective.

The seminar, which was attended by a group of religious sheikhs representing the Imam Hussein (AS) Center, addressed the definition of drugs, the reasons for their use among university students, their types, and ways to communicate with the security services to report cases of drug use or promotion within the university campus.
The seminar recommended several recommendations, including Urging students to report cases of drug use through toll-free numbers that guarantee confidentiality, educating students not to consume food or drinks from unknown sources, and educating parents not to leave medicines containing narcotic substances within the reach of young people.
