University of Basra organizes a workshop on superficial skin infections
The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Basra organized a workshop on superficial skin infections "Herpes Dermatitis", its types and its spread, especially among children in schools in Basra governorate.
The workshop aims to spread awareness and knowledge of the causes of this serious fungal skin disease, methods of prevention of the disease caused by skin fungi, methods of transmission of infection among the target age groups, the prevalence of the disease among children, and methods of treatment with antifungal drugs as common creams for treatment.
The workshop included a lecture presented by teacher Reham Mohammed Al-Musawi, during which she explained the methods of transmission of infection from people infected with the disease, pets raised in infected homes, especially cats and dogs, and soil containing the spores of this fungus.
