University of Basra holds a workshop on rumor and psychological warfare in the media
The Continuing Education Center at the University of Basra held a workshop titled "Rumor and Psychological Warfare in the Media", with the participation of a number of faculty and staff.
The workshop aimed to raise participants' awareness of the danger of rumor as a media tool that influences public opinion, and to focus on the psychological warfare methods used in the media.
The workshop, which was presented by researcher Atheer Samir Al-Kanani, included an explanation of the objectives of rumors, ways of spreading them, and ways to address them, in addition to discussing the effects of psychological warfare and its repercussions on the political, economic and social levels, stressing the need to enhance media awareness to confront these phenomena.
