University of Basra staff continue to decorate gardens
After a successful season of planting roses, farmers are currently collecting seeds for the next agricultural season, in preparation for its launch on time.
Engineer Mahmoud Jaafar, Director of the Department of Divan Affairs, said: "The work included mowing and pruning trees, in addition to carrying out the tasks assigned to it by connecting water delivery pipes to all places that are being planted, to ensure continuity of irrigation and achieve the best results.
Mahmoud added: The agricultural plan at the university site is ongoing and proceeds according to a deliberate schedule that aims to improve the green spaces and increase the vegetation cover inside the campus.
